THE DOLLPORT TIMES

– Dollport's Oldest and Greatest Newspaper –

A stack of newspapers

The first issue of The Dollport Times was hand-written by around 1999. As a Timsmen paper, it was quickly imitated by The Dansmen Dollport Times made from cut-up newsprint. After a second Dansmen paper, The Dollport Herald, pioneered printing doll news from Microsoft Word in 2003, The Dollport Times switched to digital production for our March 19, 2003 edition. Highlights of our hand-drawn era include coverage of the 2000 US Presidential Election and an AWANA pine-wood derby. Highlights since then include printing editions in both English and Spanish, print distribution on more than one continent, and inspiring the creation of a doll grocery store.
