Doll Garden in Disrepair

July 15, 2013

DOLLPORT - Paths and are overgrown, the carpet of moss has disappeared, and the bench is missing in the doll garden, which has been sorely neglected recently. Fortunately, however, a doll ground-cover that was planted there is continuing to thrive. The only danger is that the area might get overrun by a squash vine. The flax has been replaced by feverfew, which grows tall with nice flowers. ¶

Harvest Time

July 15, 2013

NORRISVILLE - The Littlestones have been harvesting homegrown wheat recently, and the dolls have been mowing and harvesting too, including this one seen on Singing Hill. ¶

Fishing Trip

July 15, 2013

NORRISVILLE — Eleanor and Theo's dolls recently went fishing together with Toby, Elizabeth, and Humor in Laguna Creek. They didn't catch much, but they greatly enjoyed the doll-sized islands and beaches, and Turkey Feather went whitewater rafting on driftwood. Theo said he would like to build a fancy blue doll raft. He went whitewater rafting himself recently and says, "It was fun and scarey, and I got wet, and we went down [various] rapids." ¶

Dollport Radio, 91.1 FM, Begins Broadcasting in Belton

July 15, 2013

BELTON - Dollport Radio has begun broad-casting on 91.1 FM in Belton. The broadcast covers the entire Doll-port territory there but little more. Dollport Radio has been using two different systems of automation software to broadcast various prog-rams including Daddy's music, nature sounds, weather reports, and Dollport Radio News. At one point the transmitter was operating nearly continuously for over twenty-four hours and at another an internet link was used to broadcast the same content to Belton and Dollport. ¶

Dolls Discuss Merging Dollport and Norrisville

July 15, 2013

NORRISVILLE - Theo has suggested that the nation of Dollport should consider annexing the region of Norris-ville. He suggested this during Eliza-beth's recently completed visit of Norrisville as Dollport's Secretary of Foreign Affairs. When Elizabeth talked with Theo's dolls about their relation-ship with Dollport, it became apparent that they considered themselves part of Dollport and did not know that the Dollport electorate considered their region a foreign country named Norris-ville. Eleanor's dolls, however, have not been considering themselves part of Dollport. Elizabeth arranged for a transcontinental simulcast of Dollport Radio News to explain the issue and for dialog between the Timsmen, Laursmen, and representatives of Eleanor and Theo's dolls. No one decided to call for an im-mediate vote for annexation, but no one express-ed opposition to merging the countries if the city of Dollport is relocated from Quilpué, Chile to the Norrisville area, and the name "Norrisville" for the region proved uncontroversial. ¶

Dollport May Relocate to California

July 15, 2013

DOLLPORT - Life continues quietly in Doll-port proper, but major changes may be in store. It is unclear if the dolls will continue to reside in Chile all year or move their capitol to within what is currently Norrisville in a few months. Relocation could have substantial advantages for the doll economy as it will provide access to new resources and foster partnerships with the Littlestone dolls, but the exact costs and benefits are yet to be determined. ¶

Dollta Airlines is Born

July 15, 2013

NORRISVILLE - Doll air travel just got more comfortable. On June 11 members of the Bunchgrass String Band board-ed the Littlestone 270, a new twelve-passenger twin-engine jetliner, at Grandma's house and flew, first to the mailbox, and then to Singing Hill. The flight was the first both for the aircraft and for Dollta Airlines, which owns it. Dollta plans to begin using the plane for transcontinental flights between Norris-ville and Dollport short-ly, and as a sturdy cardboard-and-paper airliner with a bathroom, hard plastic windows, three exits, and retractable landing gear, it is almost certainly the best doll airliner ever seen in either city. Its construction was a collaborative project between Master Timsmen, Theo, and Eleanor which took four days to complete. The name Dollta itself was suggested by Fred. The project began after Woof Woof got two new basic airliners, one Timsmen and one made entirely by Theo. Theo stated that he wants to build more airliners for Dollta. ¶

Wellwest repaired and improved

November 25, 2004

Wellwest was found in shambles again a while ago. The same to buildings were messed up again: The church tower and adjacent house. The guineas are charged with attempted re-annihilation. Master Timsmen has fixed the buildings and added a nice town hall to boot. With a Library, a large meeting room, and the mayor's office above, it's one of the 3 biggest buildings in the town.
